Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Duardo Urquijo during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 2 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sao José! The crowd rose to their feet as Jânio Secco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Manfredo Oliveira. That made the score 2-0 in the 14 minute of play. Fellipe Velloso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 19th minute Roger Pombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manfredo Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manfredo Oliveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fellipe Velloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Manfredo Oliveira came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Sunderland FC's Samuca Donato. But to his dismay, Samuca Donato quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 31stth minute of the game Humberto Prado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sunderland FC's Sandro Brodel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 34th minute, Roger Pombal made a precise shot to the right of Manfredo Oliveira. Sao José's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. In the 38th minute, Roger Pombal fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Manfredo Oliveira, passed just outside the right post. Manfredo Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jânio Secco in the 44th minute of the match. Manfredo Oliveira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jânio Secco in the 45th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roger Pombal to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Roger Pombal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manfredo Oliveira was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Manfredo Oliveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Pombal, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Sandro Brodel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amauri Lopez in the 57th minute. Sao José's Arthur Tróia shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 59th minute of play. Sunderland FC's Sandro Brodel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur Nunes in the 72nd minute of play. Manfredo Oliveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Pombal, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 82 minutes into the game, Vitório Vale was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sunderland FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sao José the free kick. After 83 played minutes Sunderland FC got a freekick which was hit by Vitório Vale. Sao José's Manfredo Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Léo Souto in the 96th minute of play. Sunderland FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
