An unexpectedly hard shot by Manoel Quadros in the 3rd minute of play forced MUVUCA's goalkeeper Frank Mattos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danilo Braga made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Diego Di Felice sent off a good shot on target. Danilo Braga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Di Felice, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manoel Quadros in the 9th minute of play forced MUVUCA's goalkeeper Frank Mattos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, MUVUCA's goal looked a bit too open when Manoel Quadros came free, but Frank Mattos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdomiro Diniz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Frank Mattos. MUVUCA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Frank Mattos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manoel Quadros in the 17th minute of the match. The supporters of Herval AD booed when MUVUCA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gil Saldanha didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to MUVUCA getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Jardel Carneiro hit a great ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in MUVUCA fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! Valdomiro Diniz placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! When Gil Saldanha fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MUVUCA's protests and gave Gil Saldanha a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th match minute, MUVUCA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gil Saldanha to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the match, MUVUCA's goal looked a bit too open when Wellington Machado came free, but Frank Mattos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diego Di Felice struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Danilo Braga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MUVUCA. Benjamin Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Diego Di Felice managed to get in a good position for a shot. MUVUCA's supporters rose to their feet, but Diego Di Felice was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danilo Braga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Diego Di Felice was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Di Felice in the 55th minute of play forced Herval AD's goalkeeper Danilo Braga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Benjamin Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 62 minutes, Gil Saldanha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MUVUCA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gil Saldanha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th minute of the match Jardel Carneiro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Danilo Braga showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Diego Di Felice had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 74th minute, Diego Di Felice ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Danilo Braga was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Manoel Quadros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Frank Mattos made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Herval AD's Frank Mattos threw himself towards the right post 82 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wellington Machado, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 84th minute of the match Patrício Ramos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frank Mattos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Frank Mattos made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Manoel Quadros sent off a good shot on target. In the 90th minute, Durval Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute, Wellington Machado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Herval AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. MUVUCA were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Herval AD to leave the ground with a draw.
