Ernani Barral kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Jorginho Galvão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raphael Tavares in the 31st minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The supporters of Estremoz SC booed when UBATUBA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélio Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute, Dênis Santana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronaldinho Ferreira made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Silvinho Godoi sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 72 minutes, Raphael Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estremoz SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raphael Tavares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee ignored Estremoz SC's protests and gave Alfredinho Valadares a yellow card for diving instead. Hélio Moura charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hélio Moura the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Estremoz SC's goalkeeper Ronaldinho Ferreira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 99th minute, Guga Mello managed to get in a good position for a shot. UBATUBA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guga Mello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronaldinho Ferreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. UBATUBA FC played a much better game than Estremoz SC and deserved their victory. The Estremoz SC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
