Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Evaristo Peres started the match with the kick off. Leopoldo Nascimento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Gláuber Aguiar made a huge save. Leopoldo Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Gláuber Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Luciano Toscano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 13 played minutes Olimpia EC got a freekick which was hit by Laerte Cosme. Romeu Pena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Olimpia EC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Waldemar Paes hit a great ball. 20 minutes into the match, Romeu Pena had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aloísio Bezerra. Olimpia EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romeu Pena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Leopoldo Nascimento succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 24th playminute. Aloísio Bezerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evaristo Peres, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Romeu Pena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Olimpia EC's Luiz Fernando Urbano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gláuber Aguiar. That made the score 2-1 after 43 minutes of play. Laerte Cosme kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Evaristo Peres in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aloísio Bezerra prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luiz Fernando Urbano to strike the kick off in the second half. Gláuber Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fernando Urbano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Leopoldo Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olimpia EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leopoldo Nascimento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gláuber Aguiar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 62nd minute Evaristo Peres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aloísio Bezerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romeu Pena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Aloísio Bezerra made a huge save. If Evaristo Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the game, Evaristo Peres recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aloísio Bezerra. Evaristo Peres showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Peres in the 75th minute of play forced Olimpia EC's goalkeeper Aloísio Bezerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Luiz Fernando Urbano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Olimpia EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Sandro Neiva hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Aloísio Bezerra came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Irape's Romeu Pena. But to his dismay, Romeu Pena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. When Leopoldo Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Olimpia EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopoldo Nascimento couldn't finish the play. Leopoldo Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
