Rafael Souto hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Morrinhos's zone, Agenor Prado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruy Vinhas came out of the goal and Agenor Prado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 9th minute Bernardo Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Drappatz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th play minute Falcão Hoffmann came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ruy Vinhas. 1-0. A hard shot 14 in the game by Falcão Hoffmann from a close distance when the talented Ruy Vinhas managed to make a qualified save. Morrinhos's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Vaz in the 17th minute of play forced Corinthians's goalkeeper Abel Drappatz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st match minute, Morrinhos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Hoffmann to maneuver through the defense. Ruy Vinhas came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Corinthians's Falcão Hoffmann. But to his dismay, Falcão Hoffmann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Benjamin Vaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 26 minutes into the match, Corinthians's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Vaz came free, but Abel Drappatz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benjamin Vaz might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abel Drappatz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benjamin Vaz ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Corinthians's Nilmar Souto got a free kick in the 29th minute. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Falcão Hoffmann put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ruy Vinhas. Falcão Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy Vinhas having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Morrinhos's goal looked a bit too open when Agenor Prado came free, but Ruy Vinhas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Morrinhos's Ruy Vinhas got control of the ball when Falcão Hoffmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Falcão Hoffmann made the kick off in the second half. Benjamin Vaz kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. The supporters of Corinthians booed when Morrinhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betão de Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruy Vinhas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Falcão Hoffmann's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Corinthians's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Vaz came free, but Abel Drappatz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Richard Albuquerque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy Vinhas having to interfere. Reinaldo Rosa kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Ruy Vinhas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agenor Prado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute, Falcão Hoffmann made a precise shot to the right of Ruy Vinhas. Morrinhos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Falcão Hoffmann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ruy Vinhas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the match, Corinthians's goalkeeper Abel Drappatz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafael Souto. An unexpectedly hard shot by Falcão Hoffmann in the 89th minute of play forced Morrinhos's goalkeeper Ruy Vinhas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 95 played minutes Corinthians got a freekick which was hit by Bonifacio Veronica. Bernardo Mendonça recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee ended the match the Corinthians players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
