Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Turiassu AD's Gustavo Leite started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Gustavo Leite left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Turiassu AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 8 minutes into the game, Tiago Barral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Turiassu AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Coracao the free kick. A collision led to Turiassu AD getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Tiago Barral hit a great ball. Vinícius Valladares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Virgílio Bastos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gustavo Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Coracao getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Ademir Passos hit a great ball. Dorival Velasco, 17 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 18 minutes into the match, Coracao's goal looked a bit too open when Adelino Soeiro came free, but Edson Pirani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute, one of Turiassu AD:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Turiassu AD. When Jailson Guedes came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Coracao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jailson Guedes couldn't finish the play. If Gustavo Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adelino Soeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vinícius Valladares was the one to do the kick off. Ademir Passos kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Edson Pirani stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustavo Leite's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. In the 67th match minute, Coracao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinícius Valladares to maneuver through the defense. Edson Pirani made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Adelino Soeiro sent off a good shot on target. Gustavo Leite struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Edson Pirani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Turiassu AD. Coracao's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gustavo Leite 73 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. After 77 minutes, Ezequiel Miranda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Turiassu AD and the Coracao players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Turiassu AD getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Ezequiel Miranda hit a great ball. Edson Pirani made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Adelino Soeiro sent off a good shot on target. 91 minutes into the match, Coracao's goalkeeper Edson Pirani had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adelino Soeiro. The Coracao fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Turiassu AD were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
