If Carlos Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dráuzio Bueno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Giovanni Couto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Allan Cardozo made a precise shot to the right of Matías Brito. Talhada SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. If Raúl Galvão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 22nd minute, Esse's Allan Cardozo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Matías Brito. Matías Brito yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Matías Brito came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Esse's Manuel Arruda. But to his dismay, Manuel Arruda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 29th minute, Carlos Araújo made a precise shot to the right of Giovanni Couto. Esse's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Raúl Galvão charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raúl Galvão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Esse getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Raúl Galvão hit a great ball. Giovanni Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dráuzio Bueno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Allan Cardozo got free with Matías Brito in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eugênio Proença was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Allan Cardozo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matías Brito was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Matías Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allan Cardozo in the 54th minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, Eugênio Proença had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matías Brito. Talhada SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eugênio Proença was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Allan Cardozo struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Matías Brito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esse. Eugênio Proença blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Matías Brito having to make a save. When Esse's Allan Cardozo in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Talhada SS's goalie prevented a goal. Matías Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugênio Proença in the 84th minute of play. Aaron Ramsay hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, Esse could leave the field as winners, despite Talhada SS having more of the ball for most of the match.
