Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Elói Veiga made the kick off which started today's match. Elói Veiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 6th match minute, Tavares FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamim Zanette to maneuver through the defense. Enio Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elói Veiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Luiz Fernando de Azevedo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Enio Pinheiro, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Tavares FC's zone, Luiz Fernando de Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enio Pinheiro came out of the goal and Luiz Fernando de Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guerreiros de Fogo's Elói Veiga got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elói Veiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enio Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elói Veiga in the 40th minute of play. Germano Maranhense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamim Zanette, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Adelino da Mata charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adelino da Mata the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mateus Abraão to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Tavares FC got a freekick which was hit by Faustão Catarinense. The supporters of Guerreiros de Fogo booed when Tavares FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateus Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Paulo Renato Cavalcante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enio Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elói Veiga in the 57th minute of play. Paulo Renato Cavalcante might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enio Pinheiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulo Renato Cavalcante ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Tavares FC's zone, Paulo Renato Cavalcante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The audience was convinced that Elói Veiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enio Pinheiro was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Germano Maranhense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benjamim Zanette in the 81st minute. Enio Pinheiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Renato Cavalcante's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. If Mateus Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Fernando de Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
