Tarcisio Quirino charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tarcisio Quirino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th minute Paulo Renato Cavalcante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Gerber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, real d t's goal looked a bit too open when Aílton Oliveira came free, but Roger Gerber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to real d t getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Juan Valle hit a great ball. In the 8th minute Paulo Renato Cavalcante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Gerber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. real d t's Roger Gerber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aílton Oliveira in the 10th minute of play. The supporters of Guerreiros de Fogo booed when real d t was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos da Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roger Gerber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fernando de Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roger Gerber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aílton Oliveira in the 24th minute of the match. If Maurinho Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aílton Oliveira took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roger Gerber. Roger Gerber dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Tarcisio Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Germano Maranhense having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tarcisio Quirino to make the kick off. Gwidon Wawro kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Roger Gerber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Renato Cavalcante in the 59th minute of play. After 62 played minutes real d t got a freekick which was hit by Juan Valle. 63 minutes into the game, Dan Oprescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guerreiros de Fogo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave real d t the free kick. Germano Maranhense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tarcisio Quirino in the 66th minute of the match. Maurinho Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Germano Maranhense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roger Gerber was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Aílton Oliveira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Aílton Oliveira really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. After 76 minutes of play, Guerreiros de Fogo's Aílton Oliveira made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roger Gerber was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as Guerreiros de Fogo's Dan Oprescu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Roger Gerber. That made the score 0-4 after 81 minutes of play. real d t's Roger Gerber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elói Veiga in the 85th minute of play. 95 minutes into the game, Paulo Renato Cavalcante recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Roger Gerber. Paulo Renato Cavalcante showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Guerreiros de Fogo's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
