Norberto Gaúcho started the match with the kick off. Washington Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Renato Prata, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. Real Patrocínio's Leandro Garcia was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dênis Varela in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Sydney Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 10 played minutes Real Patrocínio got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Sarmento. If David Baiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmílson Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Washington Mota having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Sydney Furtado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Antunes AD's Dênis Varela proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Antunes AD from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Renato Prata in the 30th minute of play forced Real Patrocínio's goalkeeper Washington Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Paulo Renato Prata fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Antunes AD's protests and gave Paulo Renato Prata a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Real Patrocínio booed when Antunes AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Renato Prata didn't get a good kick on the ball. Norberto Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dênis Varela having to interfere. Dênis Varela stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Norberto Gaúcho's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. The supporters of Real Patrocínio booed when Antunes AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Gabriel Negri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dênis Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Gaúcho in the 48th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sydney Furtado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Washington Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sydney Furtado in the 54th minute of play. After 56 minutes Real Patrocínio's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tarcisio de Almeida who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Antunes AD's Tarcisio de Almeida to fire away a dangerous shot which Washington Mota despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Washington Mota made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulo Renato Prata in the 58th minute. Paulo Renato Prata recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Baiano in the 64th minute of play forced Antunes AD's goalkeeper Dênis Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 67 minutes, David Baiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Patrocínio's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Baiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Norberto Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Baiano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dênis Varela read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. If Norberto Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute, Norberto Gaúcho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. David Baiano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 81st minute Sydney Furtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Washington Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antunes AD's Paulo Renato Prata got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sydney Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Norberto Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 94 played minutes Real Patrocínio got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Gaúcho.
