The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Norberto Gaúcho during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 79 minutes into the match, Real Patrocínio's goal looked a bit too open when Hílton Motta came free, but Washington Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute Deivid Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Washington Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Real Patrocínio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Washington Mota should have stopped the shot. There was no doubt that Dolphins Club were the better team. Dolphins Club's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
