Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cauan Chaves started the match with the kick off. Dinei Félix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alan Melo in the 6th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Umba's Joaquim Severo got a free kick in the 13th minute. A collision led to Umba getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Joaquim Severo hit a great ball. If Alan Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute, Vânderson Proença left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The NOVORIZONTINO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The NOVORIZONTINO fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when NOVORIZONTINO's Vânderson Proença looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dinei Félix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alan Melo in the 31st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Bernardinho de Sena kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zeca da Rocha. That made the score 1-2 in the 34 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Alan Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot. NOVORIZONTINO's supporters rose to their feet, but Alan Melo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dinei Félix breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 45 minutes of play, NOVORIZONTINO's Vânderson Proença made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dinei Félix was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alan Melo was the one to do the kick off. Dinei Félix was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Vânderson Proença capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vânderson Proença really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. With splendid footwork Vânderson Proença arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-5 by the left pole in the game's 58th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alan Melo in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dinei Félix prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zeca da Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cauan Chaves in the 64th minute of play. Jardel Prado hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cauan Chaves in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeca da Rocha saved NOVORIZONTINO from getting behind. The supporters of NOVORIZONTINO booed when Umba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Severo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Alan Melo came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the NOVORIZONTINO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alan Melo couldn't finish the play. Joaquim Severo hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute of the match NOVORIZONTINO got a corner. Umba's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Délio Galvão ran over to the corner to take the kick. Alan Melo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dinei Félix read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. If Vânderson Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alan Melo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Dinei Félix made a huge save. Alan Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinei Félix having to interfere. The Umba fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. NOVORIZONTINO were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
