Corixao's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gerson Queirós was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Gerson Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amílton de Medeiros made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 87thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Reinaldo Matos would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. The Gremio RB support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
