Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Encano's Guga Torres started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Humberto Meireles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Valadares in the 7th minute of the match. Humberto Meireles came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Esquia's Anselmo Valadares. But to his dismay, Anselmo Valadares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Anselmo Valadares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Meireles having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Vânderson Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anselmo Valadares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute, Humberto Fernandez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Esquia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guga Torres during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Anselmo Valadares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Meireles having to interfere. After some careless play in the Encano defense, Anselmo Valadares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Humberto Meireles. The Encano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Humberto Meireles should have stopped the shot. When Richard Sabóia came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Esquia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richard Sabóia couldn't finish the play. After the first half Esquia were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anselmo Valadares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Encano's Humberto Meireles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Encano from getting a goal against them. 55 minutes into the match, Encano's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Valadares came free, but Humberto Meireles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Guga Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anselmo Valadares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Humberto Meireles having to make a save. Robinho Vidal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Beto Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robinho Vidal hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. If Humberto Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anselmo Valadares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
