The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Esquia's goalkeeper Beto Toledo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vânderson Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Anselmo Valadares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gustavo Netto. Jaracutia SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anselmo Valadares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Humberto Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Netto having to interfere. Gustavo Netto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Valadares in the 22nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Fernandez in the 31st minute of play forced Jaracutia SS's goalkeeper Gustavo Netto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Humberto Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Netto having to interfere. Miguel Peixoto struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Beto Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jaracutia SS. If Elder Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elder Botelho was the one to do the kick off. Beto Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Peixoto in the 52nd minute of the match. 53 minutes into the match, Esquia's goal looked a bit too open when Elder Botelho came free, but Beto Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miguel Peixoto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Humberto Fernandez in the 83rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gustavo Netto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 90 minutes into the match, Jaracutia SS's goalkeeper Gustavo Netto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Humberto Fernandez. Jaracutia SS's Gustavo Netto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Jaracutia SS from getting a goal against them. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
