The audience was convinced that Marcelo Passos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claudinho Godoi was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. 15 minutes into the match, Benjamim Valadares notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Trios's Claudinho Godoi. Claudinho Godoi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 19th minute, Benjamim Valadares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Trios's Alexsandro Paraense got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Trios were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Caracarahy's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Doriva Sena took the corner. 29 minutes into the game, Cristiano Goiano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caracarahy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trios the free kick. A collision led to Caracarahy getting a freekick after 29 minutes play.
