The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aybek Işın's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 4thth minute, Horácio da Silva skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 5 minutes into the game, Ricardo Palmeira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vidigai FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Diabos Vermelhos the free kick. Ricardo Palmeira hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Aybek Işın received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Horácio da Silva came out and tried to block the shot, but Aybek Işın slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. Vidigai FC's Horácio da Silva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Vidigai FC from getting a goal against them. After 17 played minutes Diabos Vermelhos got a freekick which was hit by Pedrinho Brito. Léo Leão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aybek Işın's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Horácio da Silva skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 23 minutes in the game, Durvalino Correia fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Horácio da Silva having to interfere. Remond Zeldenrust was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 29 minutes into the match. Diabos Vermelhos:s Carlos Alberto Linares showed great skill when he stopped Mathias Ramos:s penalty. 35 minutes into the match, Diabos Vermelhos's Erasmo Passos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Horácio da Silva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Gil Trancoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Edgar Magalhães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vidigai FC's Léo Leão got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Erasmo Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ahmet Rıfat Temizalp to strike the kick off in the second half. After 57 played minutes Diabos Vermelhos got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Loureiro. When Dionísio Rossi fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vidigai FC's protests and gave Dionísio Rossi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 61st match minute, Vidigai FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dionísio Rossi to maneuver through the defense. 64 minutes into the match, Diabos Vermelhos's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Lago came free, but Carlos Alberto Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Léo Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Alberto Linares having to interfere. Diabos Vermelhos's Carlos Alberto Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Lago in the 73rd minute of play. In the 77th minute, Erasmo Passos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Horácio da Silva was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Diabos Vermelhos's Carlos Alberto Linares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Diabos Vermelhos from getting a goal against them. In the 84th minute, Caetano Lago fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Carlos Alberto Linares, passed just outside the right post. In the 87th minute, Caetano Lago fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Diabos Vermelhos's zone, Léo Leão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Alberto Linares came out of the goal and Léo Leão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 94th minute, Vidigai FC's Caetano Lago dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Diabos Vermelhos had won after a very even match.
