Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Anísio Arruda kicked off to start the match. Ernani Mota could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Luís Fabiano Lira made a huge save. The supporters of Firminopolis booed when Argirita FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kiko Coelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Argirita FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo de Amorim came free, but Carlinhos Vinhas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eduardo de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlinhos Vinhas having to interfere. Betinho Berger struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Carlinhos Vinhas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Firminopolis. Anísio Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Fabiano Lira having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Betinho Berger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abel Garcia hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Allan Sampaio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 36th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anísio Arruda in the 38th minute of play forced Firminopolis's goalkeeper Luís Fabiano Lira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anísio Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Fabiano Lira having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 60th minute, Firminopolis's Eduardo de Amorim ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Carlinhos Vinhas. Carlinhos Vinhas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Luís Fabiano Lira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruninho Baiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. A collision led to Firminopolis getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Igor Gomes hit a great ball. In the 68th match minute, Firminopolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Garcia to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute of the match Allan Sampaio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luís Fabiano Lira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Eduardo de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Argirita FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Anísio Mangueira hit a great ball. Firminopolis's Luís Fabiano Lira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anísio Mangueira in the 82nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eduardo de Amorim in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlinhos Vinhas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Igor Gomes hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Firminopolis's Luís Fabiano Lira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernani Mota in the 94th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
