If Hermínio Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute Hermínio Koehler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André de Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dorival Cordeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fábio Netto in the 21st minute of the match. André de Mendonça made an important save on a dangerous shot by Inácio Albuquerque in the 25th minute. Cambalacho F.Cs' André de Mendonça made a terrific save as he just managed to stop Hermínio Koehlers penalty just before it crossed the line at his left post. Giovanni Cardozo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luisinho Travassos during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 32 played minutes Papemal SS got a freekick which was hit by Luisinho Travassos. 33 minutes into the game, Emílio da Rocha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cambalacho F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Papemal SS the free kick. Emílio da Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Edmundo Vieira lost his temper 35 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 34th minute of the game. One of Cambalacho F.C:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Papemal SS:s goal. Dorival Cordeiro went to the wrong direction when Ronaldinho Teixeira was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Luisinho Travassos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dorival Cordeiro having to make a save. In the 43rd minute, Luiz Eduardo Damião got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Inácio Albuquerque recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Papemal SS's André de Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inácio Albuquerque in the 51st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Inácio Albuquerque in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck André de Mendonça prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Giovanni Cardozo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Inácio Albuquerque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giovanni Cardozo struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. André de Mendonça didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cambalacho F.C. Giovanni Cardozo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. André de Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Luiz Eduardo Damião came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Cambalacho F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Eduardo Damião couldn't finish the play. After 89 played minutes Cambalacho F.C got a freekick which was hit by Giovanni Cardozo. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Álvaro Toledo during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Papemal SS getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Álvaro Toledo hit a great ball.
