The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th match minute, Brasilandia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simão Galvão to maneuver through the defense. Manoel Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emílio Freire, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. When Clemente Koehler came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Brasilandia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clemente Koehler couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Pieropolis's Rubens Messias got a free kick in the 14th minute. After a rather tough play, Brasilandia's Simão Galvão got a free kick in the 16th minute. Pieropolis's Emílio Freire got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th minute, Clemente Koehler made a precise shot to the right of Eduardo Lopes. Pieropolis's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Emílio Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pieropolis's Eduardo Lopes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Pieropolis from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Brasilandia's zone, Emílio Freire stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manoel Nascimento came out of the goal and Emílio Freire tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30thth minute of the game Emílio Freire who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brasilandia's Manoel Nascimento was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 31 played minutes Brasilandia got a freekick which was hit by Simão Galvão. After 34 played minutes Brasilandia got a freekick which was hit by Willian Garcia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubens Messias in the 37th minute of play forced Brasilandia's goalkeeper Manoel Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilberto Queiroz in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manoel Nascimento prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 43 minutes into the match, Brasilandia's goal looked a bit too open when Emílio Freire came free, but Manoel Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Simão Galvão got his second yellow card in the match during the 44th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Brasilandia's Simão Galvão got a free kick in the 45th minute. Manoel Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Queiroz in the 49th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

A collision led to Brasilandia getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Willian Garcia hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilberto Queiroz got free with Manoel Nascimento in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gilberto Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Manoel Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the game, Rubens Messias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pieropolis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brasilandia the free kick. After 78 played minutes Pieropolis got a freekick which was hit by Rubens Messias. Clemente Koehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Eduardo Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 82 played minutes Brasilandia got a freekick which was hit by Deivid Passos. Gilberto Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Brasilandia's Willian Garcia got a free kick in the 85th minute. Gilberto Queiroz struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Manoel Nascimento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pieropolis. Pieropolis's Artur Barreto pulled a muscle in his leg after 87 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 87 minutes into the game, Percy Pena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brasilandia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pieropolis the free kick. Percy Pena kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Orlando Braga, 90 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 93 played minutes Pieropolis got a freekick which was hit by Rubens Messias. Clemente Koehler struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Eduardo Lopes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brasilandia. Gilberto Queiroz might have been able to make a better finish in the 99th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manoel Nascimento. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gilberto Queiroz ran back to his position shaking his head. The Brasilandia support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
