The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Meriç Çırağ took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezequiel Vander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Meriç Çırağ stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ezequiel Vander's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. After 7 minutes C.R. Carie Profunda's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Erivaldo Cabral who took care of the corner kick. In the 11th minute Ezequiel Vander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Meriç Çırağ saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Samuca Pitta in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Váldson Salgado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ezequiel Vander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Meriç Çırağ tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Gustavo de Queiroz charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Gustavo de Queiroz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 22 played minutes Tangerina got a freekick which was hit by Luís Gustavo de Queiroz. In the 24th minute, Samuca Pitta fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Váldson Salgado, passed just outside the right post. With a little luck, Tangerina's Váldson Salgado got control of the ball when Diogo Vander tried to sneak it across the goal line. Samuca Pitta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Wilian Baptista fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tangerina's protests and gave Wilian Baptista a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th minute, Wilian Baptista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Samuca Pitta in the 36th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Váldson Salgado kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. A hard shot 42 in the game by Diogo Vander from a close distance when the talented Váldson Salgado managed to make a qualified save. Tangerina's players were relieved. Samuca Pitta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Ezequiel Vander made the kick off in the second half. Tião Cardoso's late challenge caught a Tangerina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tião Cardoso helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to C.R. Carie Profunda getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Tião Cardoso hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Tangerina's Erivaldo Cabral tried to score from far away in the 52nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Diogo Vander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Váldson Salgado was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. After 60 minutes of play Tangerina's Wilian Baptista was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 61 played minutes Tangerina got a freekick which was hit by Wilian Baptista. Samuca Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Váldson Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Tangerina's goal looked a bit too open when Samuca Pitta came free, but Váldson Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Samuca Pitta in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Váldson Salgado saved Tangerina from getting behind. Tostão Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Meriç Çırağ tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Tangerina's goalkeeper Váldson Salgado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Samuca Pitta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Váldson Salgado was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Samuca Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Váldson Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tangerina's Váldson Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuca Pitta in the 95th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tostão Salles during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tangerina's Tostão Salles got a free kick in the 96th minute.
