Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Cuiabazinho's Hernani Félix started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cuiabazinho's Hernani Félix got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 6th minute Carlos Augusto Tasso suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 7 played minutes Hungria got a freekick which was hit by Murilo Trancoso. A hard shot 10 in the game by Oséias Aguiar from a close distance when the talented Válter Cabral managed to make a qualified save. Hungria's players were relieved. Ulysses Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Oséias Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Válter Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Carlinhos Arruda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cuiabazinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlinhos Arruda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Válter Cabral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 16 minutes into the match, Hungria's goalkeeper Válter Cabral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oséias Aguiar. Durvalino Simão kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Gonçalo Catarinense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Koehler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelo Koehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Gonçalo Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oséias Aguiar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Válter Cabral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Angelo Koehler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gonçalo Catarinense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. After 29 minutes of play Hungria's Murilo Trancoso was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 30th match minute, Hungria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murilo Trancoso to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Hungria's zone, Ulysses Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Válter Cabral came out of the goal and Ulysses Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulysses Costa in the 39th minute of play forced Hungria's goalkeeper Válter Cabral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Cuiabazinho's Oséias Aguiar, in the 40th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Cuiabazinho. Hernani Félix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Hungria's Clemente Cearense got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 45 minutes into the match, Hungria's goalkeeper Válter Cabral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oséias Aguiar. Válter Cabral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulysses Costa in the 46th minute of play. In the 48th minute Cuiabazinho were awarded a corner. Durvalino Simão went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Cuiabazinho's corner Ulysses Costa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Válter Cabral quite easily take care of the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Angelo Koehler stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Carlinhos Arruda made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Hungria's Válter Cabral tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Cuiabazinho's Oséias Aguiar got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Hernani Félix ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Válter Cabral was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The supporters of Cuiabazinho booed when Hungria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino Capixaba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oséias Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Válter Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Válter Cabral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernani Félix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungria's goalkeeper Válter Cabral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Dino Nunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Hernani Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oséias Aguiar in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Válter Cabral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Hungria's zone, Hernani Félix stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Válter Cabral came out of the goal and Hernani Félix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 84 minutes into the match, Cuiabazinho's Oséias Aguiar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Válter Cabral narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 85 minutes into the game, Clemente Cearense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hungria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cuiabazinho the free kick. In the 85th minute, Clemente Cearense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oséias Aguiar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Oséias Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Angelo Koehler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chiquinho Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Válter Cabral having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Cuiabazinho players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
