Alfredo Brás took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano Prado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, Fellipe de Queiroz notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Corveta's Ricardo Martins. Ricardo Martins was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fellipe de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ricardo Martins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rômulo Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Martins having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fellipe de Queiroz to make the kick off. Aníbal Fernandez charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aníbal Fernandez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 52 played minutes Junco AD got a freekick which was hit by Aníbal Fernandez. The supporters of Corveta booed when Junco AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rômulo Pires didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th minute Paulinho Mendes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Brás saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredo Brás showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adriano Prado, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Fellipe de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ricardo Martins didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fellipe de Queiroz went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. Fellipe de Queiroz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardo Martins read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. In the 87th match minute, Corveta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Gustavo Schmidt to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute of the match Belchior Amaral shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardo Martins showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpected shot in the 93rd minute by Fellipe de Queiroz got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 96th minute of the match, Fellipe de Queiroz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ricardo Martins was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Junco AD played a much better game than Corveta and deserved their victory. The Corveta players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
