Valdemar Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriano Tavares having to interfere. Zé Augusto Jacinto succeeded in the game's 43rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. 47 minutes into the game, Filipe Linares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fortaleza Esquerda Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Urupema the free kick.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Henrique Castro to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Fortaleza Esquerda Clube's Válbson Fontes got a free kick in the 59th minute. Henrique Castro struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Adriano Tavares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fortaleza Esquerda Clube. Henrique Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adriano Tavares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrique Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 68th minute, Dráusio Valladares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Henrique Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 74 minutes, Henrique Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fortaleza Esquerda Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henrique Castro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adriano Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrique Castro in the 75th minute of play. Henrique Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henrique Castro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adriano Tavares having to make a save. Valdemar Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Adriano Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adriano Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdemar Garcia in the 91st minute of play. Henrique Castro scored 1-3 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adriano Tavares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Urupema were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Fortaleza Esquerda Clube's much stronger midfield.
