Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cássio Abraão started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Wilson Nogueira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juvenal Antunes. Valente EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wilson Nogueira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Nuno Vander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enéas Faria took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flávio de Senna. Flávio de Senna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Wilson Nogueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube do Remo's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilson Nogueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juvenal Antunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 16 minutes into the match, Valente EC's goalkeeper Juvenal Antunes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zé Terra. Nuno Vander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal Antunes having to interfere. Juvenal Antunes came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Clube do Remo's Wilson Nogueira. But to his dismay, Wilson Nogueira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Juvenal Antunes didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Clube do Remo's Wilson Nogueira shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-1 in the ordered_time% minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nuno Vander in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juvenal Antunes saved Valente EC from getting behind. 33 minutes into the match, Clube do Remo's goal looked a bit too open when Denílson Medeiros came free, but Flávio de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Enéas Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flávio de Senna didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gualter Cerezo went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. In the 41st minute, Clube do Remo's Wilson Nogueira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Juvenal Antunes. Juvenal Antunes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-2. If Valdir Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nuno Vander was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Clube do Remo's Valdir Marinho got a free kick in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson Nogueira in the 58th minute of play forced Valente EC's goalkeeper Juvenal Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute of the match Wiliam Saraiva shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juvenal Antunes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Valente EC's goal looked a bit too open when Wilson Nogueira came free, but Juvenal Antunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 73 minutes, Cássio Abraão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Valente EC and the Clube do Remo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cássio Abraão hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 75thth minute of the game Wilson Nogueira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valente EC's Juvenal Antunes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 75th minute, Enéas Faria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute of the match Wiliam Saraiva sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juvenal Antunes skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Vander in the 89th minute of play forced Valente EC's goalkeeper Juvenal Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 89 played minutes Valente EC got a freekick which was hit by Denílson Medeiros. Wilson Nogueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute, Enéas Faria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
