The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when João Carlos Zanette stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Juvenal Dracena hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. João Carlos Zanette recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Carlos Zanette scored 1-1 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adelino Machado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juvenal Dracena in the 65th minute of play forced VASCO DA GAMA's goalkeeper Donato Britto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st play minute Cipriano Hermes came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Donato Britto. 1-2.
