The supporters of banguela cavalo FC booed when Cariutaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo Campidelis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Guilherme Faria struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Frederico Pirani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for banguela cavalo FC. After 21 played minutes Cariutaba got a freekick which was hit by Zé Carlos Marinho. After a rather tough play, banguela cavalo FC's Horácio Correia got a free kick in the 25th minute. If Luiz Guilherme Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Egídio Souto hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Guilherme Faria was the one to do the kick off. In the 50th match minute, banguela cavalo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdir Sampaio to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Guilherme Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernani Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederico Pirani having to interfere. Luiz Guilherme Faria took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frederico Pirani. Frederico Pirani dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Guilherme Faria in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frederico Pirani saved Cariutaba from getting behind. Frederico Pirani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernani Leme in the 66th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Luiz Guilherme Faria put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Frederico Pirani. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valdir Sampaio during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 70th minute, Valdir Sampaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kaká de Carvalho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gino do Vale's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. 76 minutes into the game, Cariutaba's Osvaldo Campidelis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luiz Guilherme Faria got in the 88th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Frederico Pirani handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. When Cícero Bertassi fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored banguela cavalo FC's protests and gave Cícero Bertassi a yellow card for diving instead. Cícero Bertassi hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Gino do Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaká de Carvalho having to interfere. 93 minutes into the game, Egídio Souto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. banguela cavalo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cariutaba the free kick. The supporters of Cariutaba booed when banguela cavalo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egídio Souto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96thth minute of the game Luiz Guilherme Faria who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cariutaba's Frederico Pirani was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. banguela cavalo FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
