After 21 minutes, Miguel Palmeira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carumbe AD and the Juru players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Carumbe AD's Miguel Palmeira got a free kick in the 21st minute. Noel Maia might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fábio Linares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zé Carlos Messias stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Felippe Gomes was extremely unlucky when he, in the 54th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Fábio Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felippe Gomes in the 58th minute of play. Fábio Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felippe Gomes in the 61st minute of the match. Fábio Linares made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Noel Maia sent off a good shot on target. If Noel Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Matorin kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Jarbas Chaves sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Carumbe AD's Fábio Linares didn't even have to move.
