Sandro Prata breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 18 minutes, Hamílton de Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mandassaia EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hamílton de Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Senandes FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Léo Netto hit a great ball. Sandro Prata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hamílton de Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Mandassaia EC's Hamílton de Queirós in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A wasted opportunity for Mandassaia EC. 33 minutes into the game, Adrianinho Catarinense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mandassaia EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Senandes FC the free kick. The supporters of Senandes FC booed when Mandassaia EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrianinho Catarinense didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Aloísio Torres sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Virgílio Barros skillfully saved the ball. If Gino Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 37th minute by Gino Meira got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Vitinho Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgílio Barros having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hamílton de Queirós made a kick off. Hamílton de Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Sandro Prata made a huge save. Marcelinho de Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Sandro Prata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Hamílton de Queirós fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mandassaia EC's protests and gave Hamílton de Queirós a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th match minute, Mandassaia EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Augusto Dracena to maneuver through the defense. Gino Meira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Senandes FC's Sandro Prata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamílton de Queirós in the 86th minute of play. João Augusto Dracena kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitinho Prado in the 90th minute of play forced Mandassaia EC's goalkeeper Virgílio Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute Vitinho Prado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgílio Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Mandassaia EC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
