Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Marapuama's Victor Freire started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alberto Arce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Freire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Marapuama getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Armandinho Terra hit a great ball. Alessandro Rezende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Dé Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute, one of Maltide:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Maltide. Zézinho Duarte scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alberto Arce, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gilson Capixaba succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 34th playminute. After a defensive mix-up in Marapuama's zone, Gilson Capixaba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dé Pereira came out of the goal and Gilson Capixaba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Marapuama booed when Maltide was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidney Trigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zézinho Duarte, 42 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Dé Pereira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gilson Capixaba went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. If Ezequiel Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The wind increased when Gilson Capixaba made the kick off in the second half. Marapuama's Armandinho Terra got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maltide's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Dito Brito 61 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Alessandro Rezende managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maltide's supporters rose to their feet, but Alessandro Rezende was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dé Pereira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alberto Arce made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Ezequiel Fontes sent off a good shot on target. In the 72nd minute, Victor Freire fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ezequiel Fontes got free with Alberto Arce in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gilson Capixaba blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dé Pereira having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilson Capixaba in the 85th minute of play forced Marapuama's goalkeeper Dé Pereira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sidney Trigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dé Pereira having to interfere. Alessandro Rezende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alessandro Rezende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Dé Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gilson Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dé Pereira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilson Capixaba in the 95th minute of play. 99 minutes into the match, Gilson Capixaba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dé Pereira. Marapuama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gilson Capixaba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3.
