Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gabriel Monteiro got the match started through his kick off. Tomás Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diamantino Schmidt in the 5th minute of play. Aleandro Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovani Galvão in the 6th minute of play. São Bento Sorocaba's Giovani Galvão got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 14 minutes into the match, Giovani Galvão dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Aleandro Cardozo, 1-0. After 17 minutes of play, Lombardia EC's Gabriel Monteiro made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tomás Arósio was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 28thth minute of the game Giovani Galvão who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lombardia EC's Aleandro Cardozo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 30 minutes, Simão de Senna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lombardia EC and the São Bento Sorocaba players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th match minute, Lombardia EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simão de Senna to maneuver through the defense. If Giovani Galvão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Tomás Arósio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gabriel Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Arósio having to interfere. Gerson Romero charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerson Romero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th match minute, São Bento Sorocaba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerson Romero to maneuver through the defense. The wind increased when Giovani Galvão made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Lombardia EC's Diamantino Schmidt got a free kick in the 50th minute. Giovani Galvão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Aleandro Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Lombardia EC's Gabriel Monteiro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tomás Arósio. Tomás Arósio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Washington Jacinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Arósio having to interfere. When Washington Jacinto came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Lombardia EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Washington Jacinto couldn't finish the play. Diamantino Schmidt hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Gabriel Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Tomás Arósio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. São Bento Sorocaba's Tomás Arósio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save São Bento Sorocaba from getting a goal against them. 78 minutes into the match, São Bento Sorocaba's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Monteiro came free, but Tomás Arósio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gabriel Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Luciano Furtado managed to get in a good position for a shot. São Bento Sorocaba's supporters rose to their feet, but Luciano Furtado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aleandro Cardozo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Lombardia EC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lombardia EC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
