Eliézer Senna started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Pacova SC booed when Grêmio Osasco Audax was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrézinho Lopez didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Robinho Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Grêmio Osasco Audax booed when Pacova SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Durval Leal came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Grêmio Osasco Audax fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Durval Leal couldn't finish the play. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pacova SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Régis Carioca was slow to take the kick. During this time Grêmio Osasco Audax's players had a chance to rest. Ernesto Favoretto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dedé Toledo. Pacova SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dieguinho Peixoto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedé Toledo having to interfere. Ernesto Neiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliézer Senna in the 23rd minute of the match. Pacova SC were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Grêmio Osasco Audax's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Raphael das Neves took the corner. Raphael das Neves made a great header on Pacova SC's corner, it was just that Grêmio Osasco Audax's Ernesto Neiva managed to reach the ball for a save. 28 minutes into the match, Pacova SC's goal looked a bit too open when Durval Leal came free, but Dedé Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute of the match, Robinho Porto got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ernesto Neiva was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After the first half Grêmio Osasco Audax were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Durval Leal was the one to do the kick off. When Pacova SC's Robinho Porto in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio Osasco Audax's zone, Robinho Porto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Neiva came out of the goal and Robinho Porto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Robinho Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute, one of Pacova SC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pacova SC. A collision led to Pacova SC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Tiago Palmeira hit a great ball. With his leg Dedé Toledo managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Grêmio Osasco Audax's Dieguinho Peixoto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 99th minute, Eliézer Senna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
