When Leonardo Pirani fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pico SC's protests and gave Leonardo Pirani a yellow card for diving instead. Leonardo Pirani kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Pico SC's Afonso Fontes got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Davi Linhares to make the kick off. Chiquinho Arantes charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The Pico SC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ladario had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
