In the 20th minute of the game Hernani Negri made a throw-in which Leonardo Pirani played forward. With a little luck, Diplomata FC's 高然松 got control of the ball when Afonso Fontes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fernão Vieira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Wiliam de Godoy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nando Mandrak hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernão Vieira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Wiliam de Godoy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernão Vieira made a kick off. Pico SC's Wiliam de Godoy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Pico SC from getting a goal against them. 高然松 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davi Linhares in the 64th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davi Linhares in the 65th minute of play forced Diplomata FC's goalkeeper 高然松 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pico SC's Afonso Fontes got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Diplomata FC's 高然松 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Fontes in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute Afonso Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 高然松 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Diplomata FC's Fernão Vieira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wiliam de Godoy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Pico SC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Leonardo Pirani hit a great ball.
