Ernesto Mesquita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Aguiar in the 2nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Basílio Fonseca in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ernesto Mesquita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Parahiba's Jardel Gaspar got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 21st minute, Gilmar Quintal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aaran Sá made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Tibúrcio Amorim sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Red Kings FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Jaime Aguiar hit a great ball. Ernesto Mesquita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basílio Fonseca in the 39th minute of the match. After 40 played minutes Red Kings FC got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Figueiredo. When Parahiba's Jardel Gaspar in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Red Kings FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 45th minute Hugo Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Mesquita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Basílio Fonseca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ernesto Mesquita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Basílio Fonseca's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. After having played for 65 minutes, Jardel Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Parahiba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jardel Gaspar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Parahiba's goal looked a bit too open when Basílio Fonseca came free, but Ernesto Mesquita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Basílio Fonseca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Parahiba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Red Kings FC the free kick. In the 96thth minute of the game Basílio Fonseca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Parahiba's Ernesto Mesquita was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Red Kings FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
