Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, Atlético Boludos's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Moreno came free, but Egídio de Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Severino Sena fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético Boludos's protests and gave Severino Sena a yellow card for diving instead. Severino Sena kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Roberto Moreno might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Egídio de Azevedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roberto Moreno ran back to his position shaking his head. Egídio de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Moreno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Roberto Moreno made a precise shot to the right of Egídio de Azevedo. Atlético Boludos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 20 played minutes Atlético Boludos got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Renato Paes. Duarte Cardozo missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 21 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Egídio de Azevedo right hand side. When Roberto Moreno, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 24 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Egídio de Azevedo was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After having played for 29 minutes, Roberto Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Redentora AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roberto Moreno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Redentora AD booed when Atlético Boludos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Egídio de Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Moreno, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Moreno in the 35th minute of play forced Atlético Boludos's goalkeeper Egídio de Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Egídio de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Moreno in the 38th minute of play. Roberto Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Roberto Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

A collision led to Redentora AD getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Belmiro Arantes hit a great ball. Severino Sena hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Flávio Jacinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonsinho de Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Flávio Jacinto came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Boludos's Chico Sanches. But to his dismay, Chico Sanches quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Redentora AD's Rômulo Terra got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chico Sanches fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flávio Jacinto having to interfere. Rômulo Terra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Roberto Moreno came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Redentora AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roberto Moreno couldn't finish the play. Rômulo Terra's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Egídio de Azevedo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Redentora AD were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
