Galinha EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jangadinha the free kick. Ian Cardozo kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Zé Roberto Cavalcante left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jangadinha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Luís Eduardo Severo in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Umberto Furtado, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 30th minute Anselmo Paraibano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joélson Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Umberto Furtado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Trigo in the 32nd minute of play. Luís Eduardo Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Umberto Furtado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Umberto Furtado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Simão Abraão in the 38th minute. Luís Eduardo Severo struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Umberto Furtado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galinha EC. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Trigo couldn't finish the play. The Galinha EC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Jangadinha were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anselmo Paraibano was the one to do the kick off. Joélson Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Paraibano in the 51st minute of play. Anselmo Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Joélson Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anselmo Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joélson Castro having to interfere. Anselmo Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Umberto Furtado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Eduardo Severo in the 73rd minute of play. In the 74th minute, Joel Trigo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Galinha EC's Joel Trigo in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jangadinha's goalie prevented a goal. Umberto Furtado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Trigo in the 89th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Galinha EC had won after a very even match.
