Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Elano Dantas started the match with the kick off. Walmyr Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovânio Gerber having to interfere. If Cauan de Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Albertino Arósio's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Telmo Borges firmly grabbed it by the left post. The supporters of Sorvinha booed when Curtume was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geraldo Pombal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sorvinha's Elano Dantas got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Geraldo Pombal hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Telmo Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilmar Messias in the 30th minute of play. The supporters of Curtume booed when Sorvinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elano Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the game, Deivid Vasconcelos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Curtume's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sorvinha the free kick. Deivid Vasconcelos kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After 33 played minutes Curtume got a freekick which was hit by Geraldo Pombal. Geovânio Gerber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Vergílio in the 39th minute of play. Geovânio Gerber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmyr Paiva in the 40th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sorvinha's zone, Sílvio Vergílio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geovânio Gerber came out of the goal and Sílvio Vergílio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sílvio Vergílio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Sorvinha's Elano Dantas got a free kick in the 52nd minute. If Elano Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Walmyr Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Geovânio Gerber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Sorvinha's zone, Sílvio Vergílio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geovânio Gerber came out of the goal and Sílvio Vergílio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Geovânio Gerber made an important save on a dangerous shot by Walmyr Paiva in the 63rd minute. Geraldo Pombal charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geraldo Pombal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 65 played minutes Curtume got a freekick which was hit by Geraldo Pombal. Telmo Borges stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elano Dantas's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Curtume's goal looked a bit too open when Elano Dantas came free, but Telmo Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Curtume's Telmo Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elano Dantas in the 71st minute of play. Telmo Borges came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Sorvinha's Elano Dantas. But to his dismay, Elano Dantas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Cauan de Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Telmo Borges took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albertino Arósio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Walmyr Paiva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geovânio Gerber read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Telmo Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertino Arósio in the 83rd minute of the match. Sorvinha's Geovânio Gerber proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Sorvinha from getting a goal against them. Sorvinha's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
