Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Zacarias Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Dênis Neiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wellington Abraão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dênis Neiva having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zacarias Veloso in the 12th minute of play forced Chelsea's goalkeeper Dênis Neiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wellington Abraão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dênis Neiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Dênis Neiva came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Jeru AD's Wellington Abraão. But to his dismay, Wellington Abraão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. William Mumbach hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Wellington Abraão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dênis Neiva having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Wellington Abraão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dênis Neiva. Chelsea's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wellington Abraão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. If Wellington Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute, Délio Fernandez had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Dida Freire's late challenge caught a Jeru AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dida Freire helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Chelsea getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Dida Freire hit a great ball. After 43 played minutes Chelsea got a freekick which was hit by Romeu Quintal. In the 47th minute Renatinho Varela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lenílson Araújo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zacarias Veloso was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Chelsea's Alfredão Pirani broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Renatinho Varela kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After taking down the ball on Jeru AD's corner Manuel Nascimento fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dênis Neiva quite easily take care of the ball. After having played for 62 minutes, Juninho Vasconcelos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chelsea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juninho Vasconcelos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Zacarias Veloso came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Jeru AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zacarias Veloso couldn't finish the play. Jeru AD's Lenílson Araújo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juninho Vasconcelos in the 66th minute of play. Dorival Vasconcelos took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lenílson Araújo. Lenílson Araújo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 74th minute, Wellington Abraão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zacarias Veloso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dênis Neiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Chelsea's Renatinho Varela got his second yellow card of the match in the 80th minute. The referee ordered Renatinho Varela off the ground. In the 80th match minute, Chelsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renatinho Varela to maneuver through the defense. Zacarias Veloso took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dênis Neiva. Dênis Neiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in Chelsea's zone, Wellington Abraão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dênis Neiva came out of the goal and Wellington Abraão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
