Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Ricardo Barros started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Salta FC's Joaquim Novaes shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 4th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Lenílson Araújo but with some difficulty. Jeru AD's Lenílson Araújo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clóvis Proença in the 7th minute of play. Ricardo Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Lenílson Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Waldemar Pirani hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Barros in the 10th minute of play forced Jeru AD's goalkeeper Lenílson Araújo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardo Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Lenílson Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 14 minutes, Ricardo Barros made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Jeru AD's Lenílson Araújo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 22nd minute, Zacarias Veloso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luizão Veiga was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Salta FC's Ricardo Barros got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clóvis Proença in the 33rd minute of play forced Jeru AD's goalkeeper Lenílson Araújo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the game, Ricardo Barros recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lenílson Araújo. Ricardo Barros showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Jeru AD's Lenílson Araújo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Jeru AD from getting a goal against them. Clóvis Proença recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wellington Abraão was the one to do the kick off. Ricardo Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lenílson Araújo having to interfere. Ricardo Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salta FC's Luizão Veiga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Salta FC from getting a goal against them. In the 68thth minute of the game Wellington Abraão who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Salta FC's Luizão Veiga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wellington Abraão in the 69th minute of play forced Salta FC's goalkeeper Luizão Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vicente de Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ricardo Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Lenílson Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zacarias Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Luizão Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luizão Veiga made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Zacarias Veloso sent off a good shot on target. In the 90th minute, Zacarias Veloso made a precise shot to the right of Luizão Veiga. Salta FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Zacarias Veloso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Luizão Veiga made a huge save. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
