After having played for 23 minutes, Zé Carlos da Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Principe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Carlos da Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Jatuaraninha FC's João Augusto Coutinho got control of the ball when Iuri Faria tried to sneak it across the goal line. Raí Couto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Válbson de Amorim having to make a save. Principe's Válbson de Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perivaldo de Amaral in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of Jatuaraninha FC booed when Principe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dé Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Principe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Válbson de Amorim should have stopped the shot. 61 minutes into the match, Perivaldo de Amaral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Válbson de Amorim. Principe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Perivaldo de Amaral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2.
