Válbson de Amorim made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Benê Quirino sent off a good shot on target. If Cleiton Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benê Quirino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Válbson de Amorim made a huge save. Válbson de Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cleiton Correia went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Principe's Válbson de Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cleiton Correia in the 20th minute of play. Benê Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Waldemar Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cleiton Correia in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Válbson de Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sérgio Camargo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Carlos da Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Waldemar Neiva hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Chupeiro EC's zone, Zé Carlos da Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sérgio Camargo came out of the goal and Zé Carlos da Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iuri Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Camargo having to interfere. Zé Carlos da Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Sérgio Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Válbson de Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After 64 played minutes Principe got a freekick which was hit by Dé Cruz. The supporters of Principe booed when Chupeiro EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro Cardozo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Válbson de Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benê Quirino in the 72nd minute of play. Benê Quirino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benê Quirino in the 91st minute of play forced Principe's goalkeeper Válbson de Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Principe's goal looked a bit too open when Waldemar Neiva came free, but Válbson de Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th match minute, Principe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durval Mazza to maneuver through the defense.
