Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alexandre Camargo started the match with the kick off. Adilson Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michel Valadares in the 6th minute of play. After 8 minutes, Gilmar Trancoso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itapissuma FC and the Galhardo SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Galhardo SS's Michel Valadares got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Michel Valadares came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Galhardo SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michel Valadares couldn't finish the play. In the 18th minute, Gilmar Trancoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the match, Galhardo SS's Michel Valadares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adilson Leite narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 23rd minute, Alexandre Camargo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Adilson Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michel Valadares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Álvaro Pires made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Dráusio Quadros sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Itapissuma FC's Pedro Augusto Veiga got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute Michel Valadares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adilson Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rogério Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Adilson Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Itapissuma FC's Adilson Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michel Valadares in the 42nd minute of play. The supporters of Galhardo SS booed when Itapissuma FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Maurício Pirani's late challenge caught a Galhardo SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maurício Pirani helped the player get up and apologised. In the 100th minute, Maurício Pirani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 102 minutes into the match, Itapissuma FC's goalkeeper Adilson Leite had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luciano Baptista.
