Jens-Erik Della took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enéas Fontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Deivid Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonardo Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dudu Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After 15 played minutes Dudu Ortiz rounded Iguita FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. In the 18th match minute, Quarahy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deivid Senna to maneuver through the defense. Dudu Ortiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jens-Erik Della didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alex Corrêa went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 32 minutes into the match, Enéas Fontes notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Quarahy's Jens-Erik Della. Jens-Erik Della was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Deivid Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Leonardo Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Renatinho Montenegro scored 2-2 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leonardo Lima, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dudu Ortiz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alfredinho do Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Leonardo Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deivid Senna in the 55th minute of play. When Quarahy's Dudu Ortiz in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Iguita FC's goalie prevented a goal. Noel Azevedo hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute, Dudu Ortiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Deivid Senna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leonardo Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deivid Senna in the 64th minute of play. Jens-Erik Della came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Iguita FC's Alex Corrêa. But to his dismay, Alex Corrêa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. If Alex Corrêa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Iguita FC booed when Quarahy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorginho Gaúcho didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Dudu Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renatinho Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute.
