Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Wilson Velasco started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Raimundo de Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Cerezo in the 4th minute of the match. In the 5th minute, Fabiano de Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Betão Souza made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Dida Berger sent off a good shot on target. 19 minutes into the game, Sorocaba's Oséas Chaves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raimundo de Toledo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson Velasco in the 26th minute of play forced Sorocaba's goalkeeper Betão Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dida Berger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sorocaba were furious when Didi Montenegro was red carded, 32 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sorocaba! The referee gave Balisa SC a penalty, 34 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Manfredo Faria, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sorocaba's Betão Souza. 2-1. Fernando Cerezo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Raimundo de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Sorocaba getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Fabiano de Amorim hit a great ball. Wilson Velasco struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Betão Souza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balisa SC. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Wilson Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balisa SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilson Velasco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Betão Souza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 48th play minute Dida Berger came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Betão Souza. 3-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Fernando Cerezo made the kick off in the second half. Wilson Velasco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Betão Souza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Balisa SC's Raimundo de Toledo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Balisa SC from getting a goal against them. Balisa SC's Wilson Velasco managed to work through Sorocaba's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Wilson Velasco dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. When Dida Berger came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Balisa SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dida Berger couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Sorocaba defense, Wilson Velasco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Betão Souza. The Sorocaba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Betão Souza should have stopped the shot. Raimundo de Toledo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernando Cerezo went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. When Balisa SC's Wilson Velasco in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sorocaba's goalie prevented a goal. 79 minutes into the match, Balisa SC's Wilson Velasco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Betão Souza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 80 minutes Sorocaba's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Manfredo Faria who took care of the corner kick. Balisa SC's Dida Berger got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dida Berger in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Betão Souza saved Sorocaba from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Wilson Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 96th minute Wilson Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betão Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 99 minutes into the match, Sorocaba's goal looked a bit too open when Dida Berger came free, but Betão Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
