Bebeto Tavares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 19 minutes, Giovani de Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Through an outstanding action, after 87 minutes, José Augusto Toscano successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 91 minutes into the match, Tomezinho's goal looked a bit too open when Anderson Silveira came free, but Bebeto Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute, Luiz Paulo Damião got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Tomezinho had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
