Fernandinho Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Patos's Leopoldo Mattos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fernandinho Andrade. That made the score 1-0 after 21 minutes of play. 27 minutes into the match, Bacabalzinho's goal looked a bit too open when Geovani Pimenta came free, but Fernandinho Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leopoldo Mattos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Fernandinho Andrade skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. André Tavares hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Geovani Pimenta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernandinho Andrade read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. In the 35th minute, Patos's Leopoldo Mattos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. 38 minutes into the match, Bacabalzinho's goal looked a bit too open when Geovani Pimenta came free, but Fernandinho Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Bacabalzinho's Laerte Dracena got a free kick in the 39th minute. Geovani Pimenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Fernandinho Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 46 minutes, Caco Martins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bacabalzinho and the Patos players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Bacabalzinho's Caco Martins got a free kick in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cléberson Souza was the one to do the kick off. When Patos's Leopoldo Mattos in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geovani Pimenta in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernandinho Andrade saved Bacabalzinho from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovani Pimenta in the 85th minute of play forced Bacabalzinho's goalkeeper Fernandinho Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute Leopoldo Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandinho Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leopoldo Mattos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute.
