Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Miraima EC's Vitório Paes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 played minutes Miraima EC got a freekick which was hit by Walmir Lira. Elias Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osmar Trigo having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Matías Sampaio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cantareia's supporters rose to their feet, but Matías Sampaio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osmar Trigo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Léo Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osmar Trigo having to interfere. When Cantareia's Elias Sousa in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Miraima EC's goalie prevented a goal. Matías Sampaio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th minute, Telmo Quadros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miraima EC's Osmar Trigo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Miraima EC from getting a goal against them. Cantareia's Charles Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Fernando Araújo in the 35th minute of play. Miraima EC's Carlos Fernando Araújo got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vitório Paes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Paiva having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The wind increased when Elias Sousa made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the game, Telmo Quadros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Miraima EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cantareia the free kick. Matías Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osmar Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Sousa in the 66th minute of play. Osmar Trigo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elias Sousa's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. If Válter Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 83rd match minute, Miraima EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmir Lira to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Cantareia's Válter Amorim got a free kick in the 85th minute. After 92 played minutes, Cantareia's Edgar Reis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Osmar Trigo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cantareia reached it. Falcão Nogueira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Osmar Trigo. Miraima EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Cantareia's Matías Sampaio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Osmar Trigo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
