A collision led to Jaboticabas getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Natanael Fontes hit a great ball. In the 27th minute, Alfredo Teles made a precise shot to the right of Gláuber de Alcântara. Jaboticabas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Gláuber Madureira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fábio Rocha in the 31st minute of play.
