Cristina EC:s Igor de Brito showed great skill when he stopped Adalmo Freitas:s penalty. 57 minutes into the game, Paulo José Marinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cristina EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Taquiri the free kick. Emanuel Santana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tostão Schmidt having to interfere. Igor de Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrézinho Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute.
